A man and woman were recently hospitalized at a Westchester medical facility after they collided with a car while riding their motorcycle.
The motorcycle accident occurred as the Long Island, New York couple was riding their Harley-Davidson along Route 52 near Fallsburg recently. Just before 2 p.m. a convertible pulled out from Mount Cliff Road and was broadsided by the motorcycle.
The motorcyclists were in critical condition at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla immediately after the accident, but their current condition is not known. Information as to whether the man and woman were wearing helmets has not been released.
Here, we have an accident that happened in broad daylight and without any obviously unsafe behavior on the part of either party. Although the accident is still under investigation, it seems like both the motorcyclist and the driver of the car were just going about their business. As you can see, then, accidents like this can happen at any time with very little notice. This is why safe behavior on the roads is imperative.
Even if you are vigilant, however, accidents can happen. If you have been hurt in a collision, you may want to take the time to speak with an attorney who often works with motor vehicle-accident victims. He or she will be able to explain how to go about seeking recompense for your medical expenses and recovery for other injury-related problems, like pain and suffering and lost wages.
